The business and opportunity

This iconic services business is known throughout the world for being leaders in their field, working with some major organisations and engaging localised service providers to deliver a unique, high touch, consistent and premium service to their longstanding and valued clients, many of whom also have a global presence.

Their unique business model is built upon on the reliance of local supply that makes this position a critical strategic role to the ANZ business that contributes significantly to the overall regional Asia Pacific business.  

Currently in its infancy of a global procurement transformation with vast improvement and alignment potential, we are looking for a strong leader that can deliver localised procurement strategies across Australia and New Zealand, fitting into a wider regional and broader global matrix procurement organization.

The role will have responsibility for a nationally distributed procurement team, commercial and category excellence, supplier engagement and procurement process improvement. A key project taking place in 2021 is the rollout of Coupa as part of the enhancement for the P2P process, the successful candidate will lead this functionally.

Key requirements

We are looking for an accomplished procurement leader that has wide-ranging experience across commercial and process excellence, as well as strong local and international stakeholder management skills.

To be successful, the individual will be able to strategize and work at a senior level in the business, but at the same time be hands-on to demonstrate what ‘best in class’ procurement looks like to the national procurement team and distributed stakeholder and supply base.

If you have experience leading a sizeable procurement function having obtained experience across the procurement spectrum, we will welcome your expression of interest in the role.

This is a good opportunity for an accomplished professional to be given the mandate to make a difference and drive change on a national level. In this role, you will be a key part of the Australia leadership team as well as managing a large portion spend in the region and globally in an international procurement organisation.

The remuneration is 220 – 240 AUD as a guide, but will ultimately be tied to the local market and level of the preferred candidate in the final shortlist.
