You must act like an entrepreneur with a hands-on attitude and have expertise in Sales and Marketing. You must have also worked with leading Modern Trade retail groups as across the Traditional Trade in Thailand & Myanmar. You have to have experience in managing customers, developing and implementing channel strategies and plans, developing and implementing RTM models, leading new product development and innovation agenda, and P&L management.
If you can understand NPD / Innovations, this would be a definite advantage, as well as experience in negotiating and contracting co-packing arrangements. NPD and co-packing are key agenda items for growth.
You will need to have extensive sales and marketing leadership experience selling best in class building FMCG, with a proven ability in creating and deploying strategic and tactical plans, ability to translate organizational strategy into functional imperatives. Experience in the management of fiscal budgets and operational plans is also essential.
In this role, you will be reporting to the Head of Food & Beverage for APAC and managing a team of around 9 people which should grow to 20-30 people within the next 18 months. This role will be great for you if you enjoy having a lot of responsibility and high decision-making power, whilst also developing a high-performing team.
Your main purpose as the Country Manager is to establish and grow the business in Thailand and Myanmar, and to be a person that helps the company set up strategic business planning to double their business over the next 3-5 years.
You will have to be an innovative and motivational leader who has been responsible for providing effective leadership in growing organisations. Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders to implement new initiatives and can move from consultation to results in an inclusive and collaborative way would be fantastic too!
This position will be in central Bangkok. Our client has an established and growing business in APAC with key market presence in Korea, Japan, Philippines, Australia and New Zealand, and is now strategically expanding its footprint across India, China and Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar. You’ll also get plenty of international exposure traveling overseas if you’d like to.
