Our Client is an established European Equipment Manufacturer in the Forest Products/Packaging industry who is looking for a Service Engineer to support the growing business across Africa!

You will work with the customers and the service team to provide services the customer has ordered. You will be responsible for commissioning new equipment, preventive maintenance, promoting service contracts, service upgrades, training and other service solutions that provide a value to the customer.

In Asia Pacific, the company is a team of 400.

What You'll Need:

You will need to have at least 5 years experience in Field Service for large complex automated Equipment Lines in any industries and really love working with local and international clients.

English fluency is mandatory. If you speak a second/third language, that would be a bonus!

There is a need for a true strong, steady, service conscious engineer with character, someone really wanting to help and has no fears of getting dirty. If customers has a request, you need to be firm and confident, able to ask questions and say "no" when the request is unrealistic.

They are not looking for a "Yes Man" but someone who can disagree without being disagreeable. Ultimately you will need to complement the customers.

You are customer focused and service-minded with expertise knowledge of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or in industrial automations.

The role will be based in South Africa, hence any nationals who are already in South Africa will be preferred.

Nobody works alone and there will always be lots of support.

Training will first be provided in Europe, and across Africa (South Africa, Nigeria, the east coast of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania) especially for the beginning and eventually settled in South Africa.

Lastly this is not for the faint hearted! This is a remote role in South Africa and being a service specialist also means extensive travelling domestically and internationally.

Wages are competitive and a travelling allowance will be provided!
