• Own and architect a global supply planning model for a high-mix, low-volume, high-value manufacturing network spanning Europe, the US, and Asia
• Lead enterprise-wide planning and MRP transformation, embedding pull-based (Kanban) logic and inventory optimisation at global scale
• Build a future-ready supply planning organisation within one of the world’s fastest-growing high-tech and semiconductor environments
The Opportunity
A leading high-tech organisation within the semiconductor sector is appointing a Global Supply Planning Director to define and lead its global supply planning capability.
This is a highly strategic position, focused on raw material and commodity supply for global production sites, operating in a high-mix, low-volume, high-value manufacturing context. The business is investing in systems, processes, and organisational capability to support rapid growth and increasing complexity.
The role carries global accountability for supply planning, inventory, and logistics, with responsibility for establishing robust, scalable planning models that balance service, cost, and working capital.
Key Responsibilities
• Set the global supply planning strategy across raw materials and commodities supporting worldwide manufacturing operations
• Own and govern the global MRP system, leading transformation, standardisation, and continuous improvement
• Design and embed inventory optimisation frameworks, with full accountability for inventory and logistics and dotted-line responsibility into inventory governance
• Establish pull-based order management and Kanban logic to improve flow, responsiveness, and resilience
• Lead capacity and supply planning in close partnership with procurement, suppliers, manufacturing, and operations
• Act as a global integrator across supply chain stakeholders, with a strong strategic partnership with purchasing and procurement
• Build, lead, and develop a global supply planning organisation capable of supporting long-term growth

You will bring senior-level experience from a best-in-class, high-tech manufacturing environment, ideally within semiconductors or adjacent advanced manufacturing sectors.
You will likely demonstrate:
• Proven success leading global supply planning in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment
• Deep experience with MRP systems, planning transformation, and process design
• Strong knowledge of inventory optimisation, Kanban, and pull-based planning models
• Experience partnering closely with procurement, suppliers, and manufacturing on complex supply and capacity challenges
• A strategic, systems-oriented mindset, combined with the ability to execute in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
