Director of Global Category Management (Food & Commodities)

Locations: Singappore or Malaysia

We are partnering with a leading international organisation to appoint a Director of Global Category Management (Food & Commodities).

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to lead the global category strategy for key food raw materials and commodities.

You will be responsible for:

• Developing and leading global sourcing and category strategies for key food raw materials and commodities
• Managing strategic supplier relationships and driving commercial performance
• Leading commodity market intelligence and price risk management strategies
• Developing strategies that strengthen value creation, cost competitiveness, sustainability and supply resilience
• Translating market dynamics and supplier intelligence into clear commercial recommendations
• Driving procurement transformation and strengthening category management capabilities
• Building and developing high-performing procurement teams

We Are Looking For:

• Significant senior procurement and category management experience within FMCG, Food & Beverage, Ingredients, Food Manufacturing or related industries
• Strong experience managing food commodities, raw materials and/or complex direct materials
• Deep understanding of commodity markets, cost drivers, supplier risk and price risk management
• Proven track record of developing and implementing global or multi-market category strategies
• Strong commercial judgement, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Experience leading organisational change and developing high-performing teams
• Excellent English communication skills
