About the Role
We are representing a leading logistics and maritime organization in the search for a highly skilled Country Tax Manager to be based in Manila (Pasay City). This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in managing the company’s tax compliance and reporting for multiple entities, with direct visibility to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the tax accounting function for the Philippines operations, ensuring compliance with local tax laws, regulations, and filing deadlines.
- Manage, review, and facilitate tax returns for five entities before submission and payment.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of all tax-related documentation and statutory reports.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to address queries and ensure smooth audits.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Partner closely with the Country Head of Finance and Controller to support strategic financial planning and decision-making.
Reporting Line
- Reports directly to the Country Head of Finance and Controller.
Role Scope & Exposure
- Individual contributor role with regional exposure, working closely with the group’s senior leadership team and contributing to strategic tax planning initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of relevant tax experience, ideally within multinational companies or the logistics/maritime industry.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine tax regulations, compliance processes, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
