About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on General Manager to lead our Thailand operations, specializing in the servicing of transformer components for the power utility and industrial sectors.
As the most senior representative in the country, you will take full accountability for local operations, service delivery, team leadership, and commercial performance.
This role suits a technically astute leader with strong business acumen, ideally from the electrical power systems, industrial maintenance, or field service engineering sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end operations of the Thailand service entity, ensuring high standards in safety, service quality, and technical delivery.
- Act as the country head, overseeing legal, financial, and operational matters in compliance with local regulations.
- Manage and develop a skilled team of engineers, technicians, and support staff.
- Build and sustain strong client relationships with utility and industrial customers, acting as the key point of contact.
- Drive business performance, owning the P&L, budget, and strategic planning.
- Align local operations with regional goals, reporting to the Regional Managing Director.
- Collaborate with global teams on spare parts, engineering support, and technical standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in field service, transformer systems, or electrical infrastructure, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of transformers or high-voltage power equipment is highly preferred.
- Proven track record managing technical teams and business operations within an MNC or engineering services environment.
- Fluent in Thai and English, with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of Thai compliance, labor laws, and health and safety requirements.
