Responsibilities:Engineering Management:

  • Execute the development of engineering designs in various project phases, ensuring adherence to technical standards.
  • Challenge Technical Standards applicability and justify deviations to assure technical and economic efficiency.
  • Initiate and develop creative and innovative engineering processes.
  • Ensure strong communication between local E&C teams and Corporate Areas for information exchange and implementation of improvements.

Engineering Specialized Support:

  • Support the elaboration and supervise specifications for basic and executive projects, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Provide specialized technical support in tender processes and adjudication negotiations for the best technical-economic conditions.

Studies Coordination:

  • Coordinate and validate key studies for integration into engineering projects, minimizing construction process risks.

Provider and Supplier Management:

  • Establish relationships with main suppliers and providers for the entire value chain, incorporating efficient technical and economical options into engineering designs.

Common Standards:

  • Assure application of common standards in studies and projects, adapting them to applicable local regulations.
  • Detect inconsistencies in standards and adapt them to company reality to maximize investment efficiency.

Company Policy and Legal Compliance:

  • Understand and apply policies to prevent occupational hazards, environment, and quality, ensuring implementation and compliance in assigned tasks.

Interests Representations:

  • Represent the company to agencies and institutions, public and private, in matters relating to its jurisdiction to enforce the interests of the organization.


  • Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in planning, engineering, and design of PV Plants, BESS, substations, and high voltage lines, with a focus on civil and structural works.
  • Experience in permitting processes for the above works in Japan is advantageous.
  • Experience in basic engineering design related to civil works and structural topics.
  • Experience in engineering management and project supervision.
  • Experience in coordination and planning in engineering teams and external engineering companies.
  • Renewable Energy and/or Power utility experience is preferred.

Required Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of civil earthworks execution, geotechnical review, and design of civil works, including structural review capabilities.
  • Knowledge of power transmission systems, medium and high voltage substation electrical equipment, underground distribution systems, dynamics, and stability modeling of Power Pools is an advantage.
  • Ability to converse and communicate in Japanese & English.
  • User-level proficiency in office software.

Other Information:

  • Civil and structure background is a must.
  • Manage geotechnical investigation through the use of specific service vendors.
  • Manage Topography and hydrological studies through the use of specific service vendors.
  • Assess viability and CAPEX requirements of the site.
  • Must be willing to travel domestically up to 50%.
