Country Director – Malaysia and Singapore (Contract Logistics)
Your potential new employer is an International 3PL business with a significant presence in the APAC region. You will be accountable for instilling sound practices in one market and commercially developing the other country market
You will have 15 years senior management experience gained in Contract Logistics (Transportation and Warehousing solutions). You will have experience of P&L management and holding a Country leadership role.
Experience of managing diverse teams in Malaysia and/or Singapore is preferable. Experience of working in South East Asis is absolutely essential for this role
You will be responsible for the success, coaching, leadership and development of initially 8 Senior Direct Reports. Yes, you will have to be a Contract Logistics all-rounder with excellent technical and people management skills but also someone that really enjoys coaching your team and developing internal stakeholder relationships. An ability to develop relationships and instill a strong commercial ethic is critical to the success of this hybrid role.
You will be reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the International business and you will enjoy autonomy and the freedom to make your own business critical decisions
What will you bring to the table?
- You will bring at least 10-15 years of Third-Party Logistics experience, ideally gained whilst working for a multinational business
- Strong business development and commercial abilities
- You will have the ability to inspire your team and manage the expectations of peers, your Line Manager and Board Directors
