Product Manager – Packaging Machinery

Location: Singapore

Our client is an International leading manufacturer for the packaging industry. The Product Manager will play a crucial role in driving the success of their product lines by developing and implementing strategic plans, managing product lifecycles, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of best-in-class solutions to their customers.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the product portfolio for Asia Pacific excluding China. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Product Strategy Development: Develop and execute product strategies aligned with company objectives, market trends, and customer needs.
  2. Market Analysis: Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement.
  3. Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire product lifecycle, including product planning, development, launch, and phase-out.
  4. Product Positioning and Messaging: Develop compelling product positioning and messaging that differentiates our offerings in the market and resonates with target customers.
  5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of product initiatives.
  6. Requirements Gathering: Work closely with customers, sales teams, and other stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements, ensuring that solutions meet customer needs and expectations.
  7. Product Launches: Plan and execute product launches, including coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful go-to-market strategies.
  8. Support and Documentation: Provide sales teams with essential technical expertise, sales materials, and product training to support product sales efforts. Ensure that sales teams have access to up-to-date product information through documentation and online platforms.
  9. Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate product performance, market penetration, and customer satisfaction, making data-driven decisions to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • A minimum 8 years’ experience in a multinational company in a similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree in related engineering field
  • Proven experience in product management, preferably in the automated machinery, packaging or printing industry.
  • Proficient in English and Chinese so as to communicate with manufacturing site and suppliers in China.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Singaporean citizen or PR preferred
